Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Part-Time Student Transportation Driver to safely transport students to and from school using school-provided vehicles (cars or minibuses). This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible, part-time hours while making a positive impact on our school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Student Safety: Safely operate school vehicles along designated routes and to school locations, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Vehicle Care: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluid levels, tires, lights, cleanliness) and promptly report any mechanical issues.
• Student Supervision: Maintain a positive, orderly, and respectful environment inside the vehicle; report any disciplinary or safety concerns to administration.
• Schedule Adherence: Maintain punctual departure and arrival times while prioritizing safety over speed.
• Documentation: Keep accurate logs of mileage, trip details, passenger counts, and vehicle maintenance needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensing: Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR). 
• Screening: Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Experience: Previous experience in professional driving or working with children/youth is preferred but not required.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, exceptional situational awareness, patience, and punctuality.

Schedule & Hours

• Type: Part-Time (approx. 20–30 hours/week)
• Shift: Morning/afternoon split shifts during regular school hours.
